Cannot access connections without a license

I’ve just updated Studio 3T to the new version, but I do not have a license, and am unable to purchase one nor use the new Community edition. It is now not possible to get to the connections window to view my connection settings - can I access these in another way?

I understand you’re confused about the change.
Even though your Studio 3T has been converted to Community Edition, the contents of your .3T folder remain the same, so you can copy them into the Community folder.

To do this:

  1. Navigate to your .3T roaming folder under C:\Users\<user>\.3T\roaming or <home_dir>/.3T/roaming if you’re on a Mac.
  2. Copy studio3t.connections.v100.list file
  3. Paste it into:
    C:\Users\<user>\.3T_community\roaming (Windows)
    <home_dir>/.3T_community/roaming (Mac)

Please keep in mind that Studio 3T Community Edition allows you to use 3 MongoDB connections at once, so it will just pick the first 3 ones.

You can access the full list of your connections in xml format if you clone and rename the .list to .zip and extract.

The easiest way is to open that xml file and select the 3 connections that you want, delete the rest.
