How to export all connections from Studio 3T to Studio 3T Community Edition?

Hello. Please help - I’ve just updated Studio 3T to new version and lost access to my connection. After update it is not possible to get to the connections section and export all connections

Hi Vitalii,

I understand you’re confused with the change.
Even though your Studio 3T turned into Community Edition now, the contents of your .3T folder is the same as before so you can simply copy them into the Community folder.

To do this:

  1. Navigate to your .3T roaming folder under C:\Users\<user>\.3T\roaming or <home_dir>/.3T/roaming if you’re on a Mac.
  2. Copy studio3t.connections.v100.list file
  3. Paste it into:
    C:\Users\<user>\.3T_community\roaming (Windows)
    <home_dir>/.3T_community/roaming (Mac)

Please keep in mind that Studio 3T Community Edition is allowing you to use 3 MongoDB connections at once, so it will just pick 3 first ones.

Feel free to let us know if you need more help!

Ok, 3 connections allowed at once, but we should pick 3 connections. Here not getting any option to pick which 3 connections. How I can read this file so that I can manually add one.

I have the same question/problem. 3T was my connection manager, and it has now effectively become ransomware, and not allowing me to gain access to my connection information.
